Why Learn with Jen?

Have you wanted to join a ukulele club but worry you aren't "good enough"? Ukulele clubs are a wonderful way to connect and make music, but if you're just starting out, it can feel intimidating to join a group where everyone seems to know what they're doing. That's where I come in! My lessons help you build the skills and confidence you need to play comfortably with others. 

Or maybe you are getting acquainted with your ukulele and have ideas about how you'd like to play, but you're unsure how to get there. I can show you the building blocks you need to reach the next level.

I work with teenagers to seniors and give students the tools and structure they need to achieve their ukulele aspirations and broaden their musical knowledge in a fun, respectful, and upbeat environment. You'll receive personalized guidance that only in-person instruction can offer. Come learn in a relaxed, supportive setting!

What You'll Learn

In my lessons, you'll learn to:

• Hold your ukulele comfortably

• Play essential chords and switch between them

• Strum with rhythm and keep a steady beat

• Use go-to strumming patterns

• Play fun songs with 4 (or more!) chords

• Join any jam with confidence

Private Ukulele Lessons

For those who prefer individual instruction, I offer 30-minute lessons. My in-person lessons are conveniently located for students who live in Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Danville, Concord, San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton and other East Bay cities.
