I am a multi-instrumentalist and educator whose musical journey spans piano, viola, voice, and ukulele. I studied classical piano under Terry Spiller at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and earned a music minor in piano performance and electronic music. Since discovering a passion for the ukulele in 2017, I have focused on teaching, collaborating, and performing ukulele-centered music. I have served in the leadership of the Lamorinda Ukulele Club since 2019. Recent highlights include Front Porch Music Presents at Town Hall Theatre in Lafayette, CA, and the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival. My beginner-friendly approach helps ukulele players build confidence and core skills in a relaxed, upbeat environment. I love how this instrument's joyous, unassuming spirit brings people together and offers boundless room for growth and fun.
Alongside my musical pursuits, I earned a Ph.D. in mathematics. My mathematics career has included publishing research, teaching at universities and colleges, tutoring, and developing software at a tech company specializing in computer visualization, animation, and special effects.

Sweet Dreams
All of the instrumental tracks in this recording (including the percussion parts!) were made with my ukulele to give this synthesizer heavy hit from the 1980s an acoustic twist. Listen with earbuds to get the stereo effects!
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
I went crazy on this one and created a ton of vocal, ukulele, and MIDI tracks with my keyboard. Bruce Springsteen, eat your heart out!
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
On the opposite end is this stark rendition of a Christmas classic that I presented in an online event during the pandemic. The lyric "someday soon we all will be together, if the fates allow" was especially poignant at that time.
